AD Dietistas is part of the International Institute of DAO deficiency, a healthcare company connecting patients with specialists in DAO deficiency worldwide.
The International Institute of DAO deficiency was founded in 2015 in Barcelona (Spain) and at that time their services were located in different Spanish hospitals. After a few years, they felt the need to help as many people as possible in any part of the world. So, in 2022, they created a global Licensing Program platform to build an international network of specialized healthcare professionals. There are calls approximately every 6 months and the network is growing. Currently, there are specialists in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, Salta, Toulouse and soon in Seville, Montevideo and Panama City. We all use the Institute’s own web platform, from where we contact and share content with patients, as well as we receive continuous training from luxury and live external professionals.
The main Institude’s objective is to provide a distinctive guided specialization, through a global licensing program for nutritionists and other health professionals who want to differentiate themselves in the clinical field specializing in DAO deficiency. Some of the program services are:
- Continuous training
- DAO deficiency specialist qualification
- Integration into an international professional network
- Patient referral
- International visibility
- Attention to the accredited professional
- Team-building
- Geographic exclusivity
The Institute is led by MSc Adriana Duelo and her closest team. Adriana has more than 12 years of clinical and scientific experience in DAO deficiency, a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Society of DAO Deficiency, of The Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and she is a pre-doctoral researcher in the Bioactive Amines and Polyamines in Foods group at the University of Barcelona since 2018.
“Being part of the Institute means being a member of an international network of professionals like you, who want to specialize in DAO deficiency and integrate a change in their lives and projects. A change of action that is based on nutritional treatment through prevention.” Gda. Adriana Duelo.
