DAO deficiency course at the Universidad Católica de Salta (Argentina)

On May 4, the University Diploma in Food Intolerances, Allergies and Celiac Disease begins at the Universidad Católica de Salta (UCASAL), Argentina. We have the pleasure of participating for the first year in this course, organized by UCASAL and the Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology of Argentina.

This is the first diploma aimed at clinical doctors, pediatricians, gastroenterologists, nutritionists, allergists and the healthcare professionals in general that includes DAO deficiency topics in Argentina.

The main objectives will be:

  • To know the different food intolerances, allergies and autoimmune pathologies related to different foods and gluten (epidemiology, pathophysiology, treatment).
  • To prepare adequate food plans for the pathologies addressed in this program.
  • To know the current legislation regarding the declaration of allergens and foods without tac.

Our class (June 22) will focus on DAO deficiency and will last 1 hour and a half. We will share poster with colleagues from Argentina, Chile and Spain. The modality will be 100% virtual.
